Now, I do NOT have as much makeup as other bloggers and i've currently been selling off some of my foundation collection but this is the current ones i'm going back and forth between and that have makeup bag status. The thing is, and I know I am not the only girl who does this, but I buy a foundation that someone recommends in the colour I'm matched too or match myself too, and it's just never quite right. I know we are all different skin types and so on so forth, but I usually find that when you purchase a foundation with your own money, you seem to grasp a better opinion on it. I've paid for all of these foundations with my own money except for the sample of the Oxygen WOW foundation.

I'd suggest if you want to try a foundation and it's a little more out of your usual price range, GET A SAMPLE. If you ask at the counter, they won't bite your head off. They're usually very helpful and Estee Lauder I find are the most helpful when it comes to samples.  They're also very good at exchanging products if something isn't to your liking or you have a reaction. I've returned two used foundations to Estee without receipts and never had any quibbles. The same with MAC, if you've been sold something with a specific use and it doesn't live up to the hype you've been sold on, take it back and exchange or even a refund. If you wanted a refund, i'd suggest you try to keep your receipt in that case though. But exchanges, just ask and chances are they will do it for you. Just don't use half the bottle and then decide your unsure. I usually decide after a week if it's not doing the job it's supposed to or if it's not matching colour wise.

I'm still yet to find a holy grail foundation and as I said, I used to have many many more than the above picture but i've given up on them pretty quickly. Some of these are newer additions and i'm still yet to 100% decide if it's a yes or a no. But I thought i'd share some of the foundations i'm currently working for in order to find that HG status for a foundation.

Foundation Collection featuring Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation

Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation -  £9.99 for 30ml
This is one of the most hyped drugstore foundations by the blogging community and although I really do like it for normal day wear, the slight fragrance does put me off a little.

What they say: '' Radiant and flawless complexion for up to 16 hours! Bourjois’ Healthy Mix foundation is enriched with a fruit therapy formula to enhance your complexion. Apricot for radiance, Melon for hydration, Apple to protect your youth. It is also enriched with crystalline pigments to even out the complexion while letting in the natural light for that healthy looking glow.''

Lumi Magique Light Infusing Foundation - £10.99 for 30ml
I've only used this foundation a few times but I have to say, every time I have i'm surprised at the gorgeous glowy, dewy look this gives you for a drugstore foundation. It's not the longest lasting coverage wise but if you topped up during the day, you would love this.

What they say; ''L'Oreal Lumi Magique is a Light Infusing foundation which gives luminosity to the skin. A luminous looking complexion as if lit from within. It has a very light, silky soft formula which provides 24 hours of hydration.''

Foundation Collection featuring Mac Pro Longwear

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen WOW Foundation -£26.50 for 30ml
I've only tried this foundation sample about 4 wears now but i've been very very impressed so far. For such a lightweight foundation (literally feels like applying a thing moisturiser it gives SUCH good coverage. It gives a 'your skin but better' finish and although it smells a little chemically but nothing too harsh, really does give a 'flawless' finish. Again it's not the longest wearing coverage wise but if you topped with powder and possibly topped up during the day, you'd look flawless all day long. Plus because it's so light weight, you won't feel too cakey putting on another small layer with a touch up.

What they say: ''An oil free formula with SPF 25, it builds light to medium coverage whilst feeling barely there. With the power of our Oxygen Wow Hydrating Complex, it helps to boost cellular respiration and prevent the signs of ageing. Broad-spectrum SPF 25 PA+++ protection, Oil-free formula, natural finis, hydrating benefits, light-diffusing properties.''

Mac Pro Longwear Foundation -  £25.00 for 30ml
I always find myself going back to this product and I can never quite put my finger on why. I love the finish of the foundation and the fact that it really is long lasting. For night's out I find this is perfect for photo's and the long wearing aspect. I don't even need to touch up and worry about if my foundation is still in place. I do find if I use this product for a long period my skin starts to get a little clogged and I get a few spots but I think you just need to make sure you double double cleanse to get this stuff off. It gives such a lovely finish, not quite dewy and not quite matte. I do find you need to let this 'dry' a little before you powder as it can feel a little sticky on the skin but otherwise, it's a gorgeous foundation. It was also one of the first 'high end' foundations I ever tried so maybe that's why I have such a love for it.

What they say: '' A long-wear foundation that gives up to 15 hours of wear in any environmental condition. Lightweight and creamy, applies smoothly to provide sheer to medium coverage. Even in hot and humid conditions, controls oil to keep skin fresh, natural and flawless. Provides everyday SPF protection. ''

Bobbi Brown Long-Wear Even Finish Foundation - £30.00 for 30ml
I actually bought this second hand so I didn't know if it would be a good shade match. The girl I bought it from though was very helpful and told me in Mac she's actually an NC15 the same as myself so I bought it and hoped for the best. The shade I got was Porcelain which is the 2nd lightest and I feel is maybe a tad TOO light for me but I currently still have my surfer tan from my holiday. It's a bit of a strange foundation. It would be really good for fair skinned people as I am actually quiet pale myself but find this is too pale. There is also one shade lighter than this.
It pumps out really thick and smells VERY strongly of lavender, like a little too much. Whilst watching a review from gossmakeupartist on youtube, I really can see where he is coming from. It's quite a nice foundation but the lavender oil aspect is one of the silliest thing ever as its actually known to aggravate skin. I have very sensitive skin and do find after i've used this my skin itches a little and I get a few more spots than usual. I think if it wasn't for this aspect i'd love it. Also I don't find it lives up to the long-wear name. I think on maximum the most i've seen it last is around the 7-8 mark and that's with powder. I was glad I gave this one a go but I won't be repurchasing this and it will probably be going for sale soon.

What they say: '' Finally-a natural-looking and long-wearing foundation. Comfortable and hydrating, this medium to full coverage oil-free formula never looks cakey or masky. Glycerin and shea butter keep skin feeling moisturised while a gel base creates a lightweight finish that stays colour-true. Lasts for up to 12 hours even in the most humid conditions. Protects skin from future damage thanks to broad spectrum SPF 15 with antioxidant vitamins C and E. ''

Foundation Collection featuring Estee Lauder Double Wear

Estee Lauder Double Wear All-Day Glow BB Moisture Makeup - £29.00 for 30ml
This is my newest addition and i've been using this now for just over a week. The main reason I bought this is because I love it's sister product, Double Wear but sometimes it's just a touch too heavy for every day wear and especially working in a stuffy office can clog up my skin a little. I went along to the counter to try the Estee Double Wear Light which I think has now been discontinued for this (or at least they no longer had it on the counter) This gives SUCH a flawless finish to the skin and actually an amazing coverage for a BB cream. I only need to use a bit of concealer just around my eye area and on any red/spot patches and my skin stays flawless for the whole day. I've not worn this for longer than around 8 hours i'd say but after those 8 hours, it still looked freshly applied. All i'd say is to go get matched, unfortunately it does not rung alongside the massive colour range that Double Wear offer. In DW I'm 1N2 - Ecru but in the BB I'm the lightest shade of Intensity 1. They only run in 8 shades but you should be able to find one to suit you.

What they say: '' The first luminous, long-wear BB from Estée Lauder. Now you have hours to glow. The BB Makeup that brightens, perfects and evens. Lightweight, oil-free, moisture-fresh. Protects with high-level SPF 30. Instantly perfects skintone and vibrancy. Soft optics impart clear, bright tone and lustre to skin for a flawless, healthy glow. Provides Vitamin E and Vitamin C anti-oxidant protection. In a range of shades, perfect for all skintones.''

Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation - £28.50 for 30ml
This foundation is the bees knees. Although I am still searching for a HG product, I feel unless it's better than this, it will not deserve the status. When I first bought this product, I was actually matched up to 2N1 Dessert Beige which in the shop light looked perfect. I'd recently changed my hair from a harsh Red to a more natural Auburn so thought maybe my pale skin didn't look so pale so took the ladies suggestion and handed over the money. It wasn't until a week or so later that a work colleague said 'what foundation are you wearing, it looks flawless' that I went on to explain. She also said 'It actually looks really tanned on you, I'm surprised they didn't match you lighter' that I was a little concerned. With receipt in hand, I went back to the store and explained to another lady my predicament who showed me 2 shades she thought I was between and let me choose. I eventually found that 1N2 Ecru was the PERFECT shade and fell back in love with the product. They actually exchanged my quarter used bottle for a brand new one with no hassle. Estee really have the best customer service, especially if it's a mistake on their part in the first place.

What they say: '' Keeps skin looking fabulous, breathing comfortably through heat, humidity and activity without changing colour, fading or coming off on clothes. Natural matte finish and SPF10 sunscreen to protect skin. Application tip: For best results, apply your Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup SPF 10 with a Foundation Brush on top of your Repair and Moisturiser products.Shake well. Apply dots of foundation to forehead, nose, cheeks and chin. Blend foundation in a downward, outward direction, either with fingertips or the Foundation Brush. For best results, allow 2 minutes time for makeup to set ''
