CLEANING MAKEUP BRUSHES AND BEAUTY BLENDERS

August 18, 2015

Washing your beauty blender and makeup brushes always seems to be a bit of a pain in the butt and even with the Beauty Blender solid cleanser, it still takes a few rinses to get it cleaned even with its hefty price tag. I also love using the solid cleanser to clean my brushes with but it comes with a big price. Since running out of my solid cleanser and discovering it's price tag (my original cleanser was included with my blender) I've been searching for an alternative product to wash my blender and brushes with. I've heard great things about the Dr Bronner's magic soap and when I came across it in TKMaxx for around £3.99, I thought it might be worth picking it up and testing it out to see if the claims were worth it.

Dr Bronner's Magic Liquid Soap comes in many scents but the one that most appealed to me was the Rose soap. It's blended with natural essential oils and has an elegant traditional smell to it, very reminiscent of Neals Yard Rose Water. All the magic soaps contain essential oils and are certified organic to the National Organic Standards Program. Packaged in 100%  post-consumer recycled plastic bottles. This soap will have you feeling all good inside and is eco friendly and recyclable.

You can actually use Dr Bronner's soap for many uses such as a Shaving Foam, Shampoo, Laundry Wash and Deodorant but I love using it to clean my Beauty Blender with and also my brushes as it does just the job. You get such brilliant results from just one wash and rinse but can easily use it multiple times to get rid of staining on Beauty Blenders and brushes.

As you can see it won't remove all of the staining from foundation but it makes the sponge as clean as can be, no more foundation will actually rinse from the sponge so to me, that's just the job done. 1. It's honestly so good - I think it's actually a tad better than the solid cleanser as it actually foams! it also almost gets rid of staining so your beauty blender almost looks new again!
